In THE CHURCH AWAKENING, Chuck Swindoll issues a call for the church of Jesus to see how far we have drifted. This great erosion has erupted into destructive worship wars, devolved from. enlightening to entertaining assemblies, replaced God's nourishing Words with junk food, and sunk to new lows in cultural toleration.
In spite of the devastating spiritual famine in our land, though, by God's grace it's not too late to turn it around. Christ promised, "I will build my church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it" ( Matt 16:18). So His almighty presence will surely help us in the challenge ahead.
