120 DEVOTIONAL MESSAGES from the PASTOR WHO ôPREACHED AS IT HE HAD SEEN GODö
F. B. MEYER (1847-1029)
Frederick Brotherton Meyer was one of the most influential preachers of the late 1800s and early 1900s. A Baptist minister, Meyer emphasized evangelistic crusades in his writings, and the need for balance between individual holiness and active faith in the life of believers.
Not content to sit on the sidelines, Meyer passionately engaged in many issues of his day. An active social reformer, he fought against alcohol abuse, prostitution, and even prize fighting. The noted author of forty books, he also preached an estimated 16,000 sermons and led countless thousands to Christ. Meyer served as pastor of Christ Church in London, eventually becoming a key player in the Keswick Convention, a religious movement that emphasized complete surrender to God, purity, and devotion to Christ.
Today, we can be inspired by this remarkable manĺs passionate devotion to the Lord through The Best of F. B. Meyer.
