What do we know about Luke, one of the best known figures in the New Testament, Luke, A doctor? Companion of Paul? We do that he was a very cultured individual, writing in detail for people far from Jesus' daily life. In Luke's Gospel we see a detailed, and educated account of the life, acts, miracles and parables of Jesus, we see how he helped the poor, and the love he showed to everyone, especially those marginalised by society. Luke is the one who tells us about the thief on the cross, who repented of his sins and trusted Christ. He also reveals through his writings the disciples encounter with Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Through twenty-six studies which include thought provoking questions we see Luke's desire to present the truths of the Gospel and the good news of Jesus, clearly and effectively to his audience.
